I just went on Superman for the first time this past sunday(5/14/00)and all I can say is WOW! As you drive up to the park, this one of a kind ride towers over the road right next to you. Me and my bud could not keep our eyes off of this thing. I had to remind him to keep his eyes on the road too. It was one of the single most impressive sites I have ever seen. The sheer greatness of the ride is stunning. I would like to explain how it looks or possibly show you a picture of it but NO words or NO pictures can show how awsome of a ride this is!
Now on to the ride. As you walk up to the ride, which is by the way located by the Mind Eraser, the towers reach sky high. I stopped and just looked at the ride being tested and just looking at it gave me chills. I queue line goes down under the ride and comes up next to the road. As the pathway goes underneath the ride it is worth a look as the ride rushes over your head. You then climb some stairs and enter the loading station. There are 14 indivdual lines for the seating on the train. This is the only ride I know of where that NO MATTER WHERE YOU SIT you will get a great ride. If you wanna get the full effect of the twist sit in the front car or if you want to get the full effect of weightlessness sit in the back car.
As you climb into the suspended seats your feet dangle below you. The horsecollar harness comes over your head and the ride attendents check your seat. You then get the thumbs up and you prepare yourself for launch. You sit there for only a few seconds and the your off! The train accelerates but not to its fullest potential. The train spirals up the first twisted spike half way and the only thing going through your mind is "Man this thing is twisted!" Then you are thrusted backwards and back through the station and the magnets once again propel you this time to its fullest speed of 70 m.p.h. The train then climbs the vertical straight spike and you become weightless. Just came back from a trip to Aurora Ohio myself. This is an Awesome ride and you have just described the experience just the way I remember it. Kinda wierd how the station sits below the track of the Mind Eraser.
I hope you also rode Villain and Batman: KF as well.
