Olympic10086, SFMM owes you nothing. What has ever happened to suspense and mystery concerning a ride? That's right, you're part of the crybaby "I want it now because I have an internet connection crowd.:"

While some of you are whining over names and logos, I'll be *actually* enjoying the ride. I swear I have to wonder if some people ever let go and just have a good time. Only the most anal people complain about names when it comes to something as trivial(compared with other things in the world of far more importance)as amusement rides.
While were at it, let's make sure all merry-go-rounds and ferris wheels have original and creative names as well, otherwise I'm going to *really* be pissed off...

Superman:The Escape(1997-2002) May he one day fly again.
Wow, can you feel the love? ;)
Intamin Fan, my only gripe about the Mountain and the announcement on Scream was that I thought it was "lazy" because they did not offer the "whole P.R." package. Parks like Cedar Point go out of their way to have EXCELLENT P.R./ Marketing packages when a new ride is announced.
There is the press release, complete stats about the ride, an artist drawing of what the ride will look like, videos with park officials talking about the ride, and sometimes an animation video from Badnitrus with a POV. Now THAT is the complete package. That i smy main gripe with the mountain.
I used to do PR before I went into producing at the TV station, so I do know how important it is to promote your product. I thought, as expected, the announcement for Scream! was "lazy".
I have never said, not once, that the ride will not be good, or even great. My whole problem was the logo, name, and lack of descent info when the press release comes.

There's no such thing a "lazy" in a major company, only "money."

"Climbing as we fall, we dare to hold on to our fate, and steal away our destiny to catch ourselves with quiet grace" - The Stairs, INXS
You may have hit it right of the button, Jeff. Maybe it's all about money. But I still think a drawing of the ride should have been included...

How silly of Cedar Point to name a ride Wicked Twister knowing full well that SFEG and Knoebels already have rides named Twister. Give me a break, why should they care? CP is world's away from SFOT. Like I said before, only the most anal people have a problem here.

Back up there in the posts, someone said that without marketing there wouldnt be McDonalds on every corner. That isnt necissarily a good thing. You'd be surprised at what McD's has done to the nation, and i dont mean in a good way. Read all about it in "Fast Food NAtion." Anyway, i dont really mind that it is a Superman theme. Sure, i like to make fun of SF for the unorginiality. But i dont complain when another park is getting a Superman: Ultimate Ride of Steel coaster. And to tell you the truth, i thought S:ROS was a good name. So, moral of te story is to get over it and enjoy the ride...and not to eat at McDonalds.
hey ive been waiting a long time for a new ride at SFOT because i am tired of riding titan, mr.freeze, batman,
Then, why don't you ride many of the other, better rides at the park? I get tired of riding Titan after just one ride...
