Do you think Great Adventure will go all out with Superman's theming? They did ok with Batman's but compared to Magic Mountain's it's pretty a$$. I am hope they make it like Over Georgia's with the comic book theming.

Antuan, I agree that the theming for Medusa is pretty lame, but think of this: how exactly do you theme Nitro? There's no character or story to base it upon, and it really does stand alone as its own entity within an otherwise decently conceived theme park. I say the lack of theming is a welcome change, instead of impressing some kind of theme that would probably not work and take away from the ride experience as a whole.
Besides, what money didn't go to theming went to...another thousand feet of track. Any more complaints?

Wow, standards for theming are really low these days, huh?
There's nothing I've ever seen at a Six Flags park, anywhere, that's even remotely struck me as being better than mediocre.

My expectations wouldn't be high from a park that puts a flourescent purple and lime green coaster called Medusa in an old west setting, then puts "Medusa Mining Company" on the building.

Guys, this is Six Flags we're talking about. "Themeing" to them means plopping any old ride down, naming it something that doesn't suit the territory, and then putting some cardboard cutouts around to make it seem like themeing.
Look where Superman is going, for chrissakes! Superman -now in Frontier Adventures! HOLY FLURKING SHNIT! WHAT THE HELL IS SUPERMAN DOING IN THE WEST?! And a parking lot, I might add. What good does Superman have over a PARKING LOT?!

Jeff, your right about "Medusa Mining Company" but I think the Lime Green and purple are ment to symolize Female(purple) and Snake(green). Also the color combonation sticks out from miles away. It gives the coaster a "your going to die on this coaster", look. With NITRO, I agree with Autuan. The station could be a Massive box of TNT. That would be cool. Then the track could be Black and the supports could be Red. That would give the coaster a stick of Dynamite theme. But Autuan i think the did an amazing job with the Chiller's theming. Skull Mountain's is great too but the coaster itself sucks.

Ture that. I would hate to see those angled parking lines while flying on Superman. That would truely suck monkeys. Hopefully they will add buildings to make theming good cause the lot will go with that.

Hopefully they will add something that would make it look/feel like you're flying over a city. Personally, I don't mind the lack of themeing on Nitro. If you ask me they should spend some money on some shade for the queue...much sunburn to be had there. B:TR has possibly the cheapest (in expense) theming possible. Garbage, corrugated steel, and a junk cop car. I guess at night it would kinda be a little like they hoped if you've never been there before...Maybe we're just jaded.

Coaster131. You can't make a generalization like that since Six Flags Movie World opened in Spain.
AHEM!
Warner Brothers Movie World, my friend. WB, not SF. Yes, I know it's the same parent company, but the name is different, and therefore people expect different things. The movie world parks are like Universal parks...made to stand out, whereas the Six Flags parks are just thrill parks.

Did you ever see the original BATMAN: The Ride in all it's glory? (i.e., when there was still fog in the tunnel, the staircases were even darker than they are now, and the music could be heard) Maybe it's not quite on the same scale as Disney, but it's far from mediocre. And even today, it's still pretty cool. I don't know about the other Batmen, but there's a lot more to this line than just a few pieces of trash and a junked cop car. Oh, and Batman fits in Yankee Harbour better than any other land at SFGAm. While New York (a.k.a. gotham City) may not be in New England, it's in the northeastern U.S.
