This is begining to look like one hell of an interesting ride. For those who have not heard about it, it is starting with a indoor dark ride begining- aparently you are on a subway train that get caughts in an earthquake and superman appears and 'pushes' the train to safety.
What follows is not totally known but there is a top hat- which judging from the pics is not like TTD or KK but more like SR. The helix after the top hat looks insane, and there are multiple airtime hills after.
This is the sort of Rocket coaster i have been loking forward to. The perfect ride for a medium sized park. Why Thorpe Park did not build something like this i have no idea. And it 'only' cost 12 million bucks. Thats aussie dollars so thats about 8.5 million american.
Good to see some parks really thinking hard about the whole ride experience and not just chucking up some clone. *** Edited 8/16/2005 7:40:21 AM UTC by gyjdnb*** *** Edited 8/16/2005 7:41:55 AM UTC by gyjdnb***
And why can't a Superman ride have blue track and red supports for a change of pace? ;)
Have a look at those conrete buldings in the middle of the ride area (I am not talking about the pre show buildings) - with big square tunnels running through them... ;) ). As for the element *after* the top hat, well...hehehehe ;)
