Superheros, movies, and coasters......

Back when the original Batman movie came out in 1989, it was only natural to theme a coaster after it. Voila! SF unveils Batman: The Ride.

Now here we are in the early 2000s, and superhero theming is running rampant. There's at least 4 Batman-themed coaster types, 4 Supermans, and an entire land at IOA.

Now, after the success of Spiderman: The Ride and The Incredible Hulk coaster at IOA, we suddenly have a Spiderman movie and an Incredible Hulk movie coming out. And they aren't even made by Universal! So instead of coasters being themed after movies.........are movies taking their cue from coasters now?

I doubt it. I mean it may spark an interest but I don't think they are taking their cue from roller coasters. To make a successful movie, the story line must be there. I think these movies are just exploring the comic and cartoon world. X-Men is what really set it off
