Superhero theme a little babyish?

Cool theme Jeremy, but would it have to start out by destroying the world?

Babyish? Not in my opinion. Overused? I think so!

2002 - the year of LoCoSuMo!!

Your not alone on X-Flighter Wing Project Impossible being themed to Green Lantern. The color scheme was perfect for the character. Instead we have coasters being named after letters in the alphabet. Yippy!

Coasterman Mike - who still is confused to what exactly X-Flight means

In case you guys haven't noticed, Six Flags could care less about the enthusiasts that actually know there are cloned rides and cloned names all around the country. That isn't their goal-to satisfy us enthusiasts. Their goal is merely to bring all of the people in their local market in. 99.9% of the GP knows that there are cloned rides and names out there. it bring in money and people, without having to come up with new ideas. Where is the sense in taking the time to come up with a new name if the GP will ride a Superman or Batman-style ride?

It is really overused. Ther are 22 coasters that have Batman or Superman in there name.

When they start naming two coasters at the same park Superman, then I'd worry about it. Until then, so what? Every MacDonald's you go to, you will find a Big Mac. Every Six Flags you go to, you will find a Batman and/or Superman. Some of you may have missed it, but Six Flags is a *chain*.

well in math terms..."X" is the unknown..so the 4D 'X' would probably be like..the unkown ride..because isnt the 4th dimension unknown. Thats beside the point. And X-Flight.. I am not sure, but wasnt X-Flight one of the first flying coasters. So, it would be like the unknown flight.

Just my theory on why coasters are named after letters in the alphabet.

EDIT-Grammatical errors

If the world was perfect, we would have a rollercoaster at every corner.

Does anyone like that they named Apollo's Chariot Raging Bull and Nitro without Superman?

Except that Apollo's Chariot is at a Busch park.

You are bold, but are you also...daring?

I'll remember going on a Superman Impulse better than going on V2.

The anchor lady on our news(Wilmington, NC) last night had to apologize because she kept calling S:UF Batman by mistake in their report on the opening of the ride @ SFoG(which was an awesome report, BTW. They even described & showed the pretzel inversion).

BTW, I'd like a flying shuttle themed to the Evil Dead.

DWeaver: Yeah, but every McDonald's you go to has the *Same* big mac. If you go to SFA and then SFNE and you say, "Oh, I've already been on an S:RoS" (and they even look pretty similar if you're not paying attention...Intamin Hyper) then you'll miss out. If you go to a McDonald's and
say, "I've already tried the Big Mac at a different McDonald's", it's not like you're going to a have a completely different experience from this Big Mac.

AC?, RB?, MF?, DD?, PR? Who can keep track of it all?

I disagreee with everyone who thinks the super hero theme is babyish. The rides that are themed as super heros have some of the same traits as the heros, like superman coasters are fast, like the hero is supposed to be, and the batman coasters do a lot of flipping around just like batman does on the movies. The superhero theming is great.

I'd much rather go on a coaster named after Batman and Superman than a coaster with some wacked out name like Spin&Spew.

You can name the coaster Barbie: The Ride, paint it a neon pink, have a total Barbie theme in the que lines, play Barbie tunes while waiting in line, and I would still "RIDE" it endless amount of times if its a good coaster.

They could even clone the heck out of it at various SF parks and it still wouldnt matter. If its good, its good.
