Sudden many MIA radio adverts in Detroit

Could be someone is listening to some of those comment made on that monster thread about MIA??

I noticed many who live in MI mentioned next to no advertising being done in the Detroit area, I agreed, then BAM today I hear a radio spot 5 times in the short amount of time I spent in the car. They have to be playing this thing on the half hour if not the 1/4 since I've never heard it before and today it was always there.

" Michigans Adventure.... Two parks for the price of one .... La La ... Fun FUN.. 2 PARKS FOR THE PRICE OF ONE!! FUN !! FUN !!! "

Go ahead make fun of my singing , you guys are brutal <g> The larger point is not if I should quit my day job to sing theme park jingles but just how they are playing this commercial to the point that I couldnt forget it if I tried to. Wonder how long it will last before they go back to no regional adverts again.

Now maybe they will do something about the T shirt prices and get some human advertising walking around Mi as well.

Side note : I was there last week and Timbers was amazing!!!

Quickie update.....

Now the DJ's are doing lengthy testimonials about their *great* trip to Michigans Adventure after the commercials.

Cedar Fair must have sprung for a nice package of avertising to get the kinda ad saturation we are getting in Detroit these days.

Wonder if it will boost attendance?

Hmmmmm, what station did you hear the ad on? Ill make sure to tune in and try to catch it.
And we get constant advertisments from WOF which is a 3 and a half hour drive from Omaha.... Cedar Fair is smart in trying to market the park to a wider area.

I haven't heard the spot yet.

Cedar Point's Mean Streak and World's Of Fun's Dentonator both share the same logo......That's cheap!!!!

Naturally when push came to shove I had a hard time hearing it today to see what station it was on, but eventually there it was and I can tell you that it was WNIC.

Then again it could be on several stations since Clear Channel broadcasting that owns WNIC owns 5 other stations in the Detroit area.

They are also giving away family 4 pack of tickets at the website with a link to the park site.

Yes, I think Cedar Fair has put in advertising with Clear Channel Communications. Here in Grand Rapids, about an hours drive from MIA, last week WBCT (One of the CCC stations) was broadcasting live, and ever since, they have been playing the MIA advertisement quite regularly. That is B-93, 93.7 on your dials........

100.3 wnic.................cool, I normaly listen to 101wrif, but I think I can handle a little change for a while.
Yeah, same thing with Dorney. I didn't hear anything with Dorney and then one day, it was advertisements galore. (I live about 1.5 hours from Dorney)
