Stupid Guests

What do you do about stupid guests. (RCT2)

2 examples- When a group of guests just start following each other in circles and then obviously complain of over crowding.

Or, in a certain part of my park the guests are obviously extremely sick and say they want to leave. I put up food, drinks, bathrooms, first-aid. I even add mono-rails to the entrance. Then, after that wouldn't work I physically plucked them and placed them at the park entrance and they wouldn't leave the park, they just start walking in the opposite direction!

I was so frusterated at one point I started drowning them and that seemed to work, but invariably these sort of people show up again.

Thanks for your help,
Jason

Yep. For all the hype about peep AI being improved, I find them to be just as frustratingly stupid as ever.

One thing I did notice that can get quite annoying is that even when using double- or triple-wide paths, sometimes all of the peeps will crowd really tight on to one side of the path, with no one at all on the other side.

I even tried removing a couple pieces of path to push them in the other direction, but they just go around and right back to the same side. Wierd.

I keep having the problem over and over where i start a scenerio, usually one i created, and I have a near perfect rating for aroun three years, then all of a sudden it skyrockets down, with no real explanation. I mean it doesnt matter what I do, new rides, food, bathrooms, benches, entertainers, tv's, I try any and everything, but the guests just refuse to be happy, its quite annoying because basically every scenario i do ends up being worthless after a few years. Oh and i make the paths as simple as possible, usually just a big loop, and they still get confused and/or lost... argh!!
I had these really, really sick peeps and they went on a huge coaster (500ft) and I built it for fun, also no one else would go on it ( all it was was hill, turn, cammel back) except these people. They threw up and I drowned them for being that stupid. People still won't ride the coaster.

Alright good, at least I'm not alone on these problems.

I came across these problems as well. One to clear out 'stuck' people is by building a 'short cut' path from where these people are to somewhere near an exit. Sometime you would have to build under rides and such, or even underground to get this to work. If the crowd of 'stuck' peeps start to follow your newly made path, then you found the right direction they want to head. If not, well, you're gonna have to try anther direction. I know it's a pain in the butt to do, but hey it works, the park rateing goes back up. On the down side, you may see a big drop in park attendance.

I know!!!

The worst thing is if I have a ride on the other side of a lake or something. If you need to go around the lake, the guest will just go straight for the ride. The will all gather in one area that's acrross the lake from the ride.

Has anyone else had this problem!?

The things I find most annoying is when guests crowd one side of a double/triple wide path and complain of it being too crowded, and then with guests/mechanics finding rides. The guests often can't find a ride if the queue line is slightly out of the way and with mechanics, if I have an exit path away from the queue-line, they just head up the queue-line, don't go to the exit and the ride takes aaaages to get fixed. Actually, you have to pick up the mechanic and put him next to the ride exit or zone them over the exit path and nowhere else...
one thing i find is that sometimes people walk up Q lines, go right to the entrance and turn round and go out of the Q line. annoying!
Has anyone had the problem with coasters that has two stations breaking down and can't be fixed? I have a few times. I found out if you don't add an exit to station 1, mechanics can't fix a break down, if the break down happens to be a problem in station 1. I had to destory a few coasters before I finaly figure out away around this. Now I always add an exit to every station I build, reguardless what it's used for, or what ride it is.

I believe the intent of improving the AI was to make the game more realistic. I'd say it worked! :)

I had TWO placees were dumb peeps who supposedley wanted to leave were crowding. One was in PLAIN SIGHT, two path squares away from the side exit. The other place was a small loop of a path around a ride and the back of the park. I tried creating a shortcut path back to the entrance, but when they got there, they turned and went back down the MIDWAY. And I thought my Algebra students were dumb!!!!

Needless to say, the next thing I tried was the mass drowning idea.

Of course by now my park rating is 0, but it NEVER went back up. Then I found I buildt a ride i downloaded and somehow in placing it, a couple of the interior exit path pieces did not build, so I had 100+ people stuck on a two square piece of path. After I cleared THAT up, the park rating rebounded.

I have problems with the people crowding on one path but my park rating hasnt went down for any of my games. And they arnt just parks starting out parks they are well over 10 years old.
