Maybe I'll show my age but doesn't anyone else remember the canoes you would paddle around an "island"...I believe they were in the area where The Beast is now located.
The Giant Slide of course, the one the Banana Splits tried to run up. And yes, the canoe's, thats where Mike lost his plans. Well, Mike didn't, one of the kids did. :)

Hey Bubba, The Bat was awesome. It had wicked turns and awesome length. It had two lift hills and you just swooped all over the area. It is a shame the technology wasn't quite there yet. It would be a heck of a ride today.

I completely agree, I rode The Bat several times and believe it was one of the most wicked coasters I've ever been on. I would much rather it still be there than the Vortex any day!
