Strickers Grove October operating question

It could be the alcohol talking, but I thought for sure I read on here somewhere that Strickers would be open this Saturday the 2nd.

I did several searches for that information, but couldn't come up with anything... I even checked their website.

Thought I'd just ask here before I bombarded them with an e-mail

They are open to the public Oct. 2nd from 1-8pm There is a lunch for the employees from 4pm-5pm in which the rides will not operate but will re-open afterwards.

Chuck, who can't make it to snap their flyers one final time due to work.

If your going to visit, From PKI take I-71 south 7 miles to I-275 south/west 15 miles to Colrain AVE. Rt 27. Take that north 8 miles to the Ross/Venice or Hamilton Cleves exit. (Same exit but I can't remember what its called there) SR.128 and take that south 4 miles to the park. Parking is free and ride bands are I think $8 with optional tickets is you wish.

Chuck, who says open at PKI, Leave at 12:15 and do Strickers from 1-4 and then return to PKI for the rest of the day. *** Edited 9/29/2004 11:53:13 AM UTC by Charles Nungester***

As Chuck said, yes, Stricker's Grove will be open on the second. They handed out A LOT of flyers at the last public day. Most of the flyers also had coupons for 50 percent off almost all the food stuff.

It's definetely worth a stop if you can.

What I recommend:

Coney Island to start with.
Then head over to Stricker's Grove.
Then head over to PKI for their FearFest at night.

Anyone know the prices of the coasters and other rides?
I didn't get a flyer on Family Day but if history is any indication it will cost $8 admission which includes all the rides. Free parking and soft drinks. The food is pretty cheap as well.

The best amusement park deal in Ohio!

Coney is closed

Doesn't Coney Island have their Farm Fest this year? Or did they get flooded out this year? Last year I went and it was a pretty fun time...reminded me of GL/SFWoA Oktoberfest.

I just checked out Coney's Site, and it still shows they will have it the next two weekends. But again, I know Southern Ohio is pretty flooded right now...and we all know what happens to Coney Island during the floods.

Coney is open a couple more weekends but the rides and pool arent. The have a arts festival and some other things and a rescheadualled Toby Keith concert that was flooded by Ivan. Last weekend was the Keltic festival.

Chuck, who"s pretty possitive the rides at coney are closed but Boa Squeeze at Forest Fair mall might be a good stop and its on the way between PKI and strickers.

Actually, Coney`s classic rides WILL be open for the Fall Flower and Farm Festival. I am a ride operator there and there are operators scheduled for both this weekend and next. I however, am not scheduled to to a heavy workload for college. If it is like last year though, the crowds will be on the heavy side all day. Sunlite Pool is closed for the season.

Well thanks for clearing that up, Now what hours are the ride open?

Chuck

The rides are open from 12-7, which I believe is the same hours as the Fall Flower and Farm Fest. *** Edited 9/30/2004 4:37:04 PM UTC by coastersrz***
