Strange new gadgets for WDW incl lightpost cams

Pretty strange new gadgets that disney wants in there theme parks. One includes having lightposts around the park that have digital cameras in them that you use a remote to take your pictures and it sends them to your computer at home.

That sounds cool but very complicated.
maybe it's me but BIG BROTHER MICKEY does not sound like a good idea.

Sounds like the kind of thing that a company was showing at IAAPA last year. They were developing a product called "Your Day." The idea is that upon entering the park you are given an RFID prox card. As you go through the day, cameras scattered around the park digitally record you experiencing the various attractions. At the end of the day you are given an opportunity to buy a customized travelogue of your day in the park. The idea is that they can take the standard travelogue video that you can buy, and selectively replace scenes with scenes of YOU. So for example the program might include a segment describing the Mighty Toothchipper roller coaster, and if you rode the Mighty Toothchipper, then you will be seen on the train cresting the hill and going down the first drop. If you didn't ride it, that will just be stock footage.

It looked to me like a pretty neat idea; the only real problem is one of the sheer logistical hassles of trying to produce 60,000 different video programs a day...!
