Strange Coaster Dreams!

Last night I had by far the strangest coaster/theme park dream.

I was at Six Flags Astroworld with Robb Alvey, Elissa, and Dan (who I do not know personally at all). Also in attendance was my sister and two of my close friends.

The dream started at Knott's (dont ask), we were in Camp Snoopy about to get on the Red Baron airplane ride except this was a very large version that lifted you up at least 100 feet. It had balloons to raise you up and when your's popped, the ride was over. A girl fell from really high up and hurt herself so we all passed.

Then the group of us walked through a tunnel and emerged into Astroworld. Mind you, I have never even been to that park so this was quite interesting. It seemed more like a carnival than a park, but it had all the Astroworld rides even S.W.A.T.

So somehow Robb gets front of the line for us and we get on and pull down the restraints, but the ride doesnt start. I keep pulling down thinking its cause im too fat to ride, but that isnt it, they come by and tell us something is wrong with it. We just sit there waiting...then I woke up

Some imagination huh? What about your coaster dreams?

Here is some related reading for you on coaster dreams.

I have these types of dreams often. I love it when they are vivid and memorable. I find dreams interesting and weird.

In my latest I was driving in my car to a park, then I was on a bike and a female traffic cop told me there was a detour so I had to turn right on a road.
I was suddenly in the middle of an old abandoned park. I was amazed and began to take pictures. There was a carousel and a sign on it that said Shopryland. I thought that this must be the old Opryland. The only place I'd ever heard of Shopryland is on an old Coasterbuzz post a few years ago.

I saw an arrow train sittin on a track. I stepped into an area to take a picture and began to sink.

Man, I dream about Magnum too sometimes... ;)

I've often wondered from time to time, how to write good poetry- and make it all... Work.

One night I was in this state when you dream and can somewhat take incomplete control of the dream.
I tried to dream a coaster ride, but each time I was going through inversions it just didn't happen - the first drop and banked curves all went fine, but as soon as I tried to ride through an inversion, I would fall out of the coaster and have start over again.

Strange how I couldn't go upside down in that dream.

It may not have been *real*, but I was probably the first person to ride SheiKra...:)

Can't wait to ride it WITHOUT waking up afterward...;)

Yeah i love them crazy dreams! This one time, at Thorpe Park, all these nude people got on the Nemesis Inferno for some charity thing.

Oh wait, that actually happened.

dreaming about elissa.... i can see that...
My coaster dreams mostly end the same:
Lifthills that run for miles...
clank-clank clank and the d-d-d-d-d-d-d-ddddddddddddddddddd before the fall...
i, on coaster, go screaming into a tunnel, which just happens to be filled concrete!
i usually wake fast, like an electro shock ran thru me... that used to freak my girlfriend out...

I don't understand how you have all these small details in your dreams not mention remember every single detail!

-Eric: Major Parks: SFNE(homepark), SFA,SFGADV,CP,BGE,BGA,Kennywood, and Sea World: Track record 65 different coasters ridden #1 is Millennium Force #2 is El Toro and than there are all the others

You guys (and gals) are lucky. I just have the same old recurring "oh no,I never bothered to attend that math class, hand in assignments, read the book, or take the midterm, now I've got to find my advisor to see if it's too late to drop the course but I have no idea how to get to his office" dream. And it's always a math class. And there's never a coaster in sight. Not even a flat ride. Not even a whack-a-mole stand, or a cotton candy vendor.

Ya i know! Its amazing...

When I was younger, I used to have horrible nightmares. They would be so realistic that I could feel pain, if I was underwater I'd hold my breath, etc. I always dream in color and I tend to remember a lot of my dreams.

Maybe I'm just wierd?

I once had a dream a few weeks after I had been to CP. Millennium Force was now my favorite coaster, but the dream I had told me otherwise. In my dream I got on, went down the hill but after the overbank the track was missing. We stopped before that point and just valleyed. We just sat there. I began to think the ride sucked. Luckily, since then Ive been back to CP to find out I still love the ride just as much...Crazy
I know exactly what you are talking about.

I take a yearly trip to kennywood for my grandma's town's local "Kennywood Day" (n. belle vernon, if anyone is wondering) and I think in 99, when the Steel Phantom was still the original arrow, I had a dream the night before. Here it goes:

It started as my father and I were going up the lift hill. I could see the whole layout, except after the corkscrew, the Phantom dropped right down to the river level, and had these crazy helix things all over the place. So, as we are going through all these, up ahead, we see that the track just ends, and the train we are on goes flying off, rolling on the ground, and eventually, landed in the river.

Then, I woke up. :(

It was by far the weirdest dream I had ever had. I remember actually "feeling" our car break off and leave the track. Its never happened again, with any coaster, I've never had another coaster dream of any sort. Freaky.

(Sorry about the length)

How odd, Haiderodes, I had EXACTLY the same dream last night!

Just kidding! ;)

Before my last trip to Cedar Point I dreamed about the drive there. The Sandusky exit had a loop.
