Strange bugs on Invert

The game itself is running fine, but I've noticed a few major bugs with the Invert coaster.

1. Stats. My latest 140ft tall coaster had the following G-Forces:
Positive Gs: 8.5
Lateral Gs: 3.41
Negative Gs: 3.41
Total Air time: 0.00 seconds.

Excitement: 7.7
Intensity: 9.23
Nausea: 6.85

How the heck could I have 8 Gs? And how could there be such high negative Gs, yet no total airtime? Looking back over my layout, there's no way the forces should be that high. And even if they were, how could the Intensity rating not be 18 or so?

Another interesting stat: 9 inversions. Let's see... 1, 2, 3... 6. I'm counting six. Large loop, inline twist, cobra roll, and two corkscrews. Can someone explain how this equals 9?

Number of Trains
It will let me select 2 or 3 trains, but when I open it it always defults to one train. I have the block sections, I have the block section operating mode checked, what am I missing?

Dispatch Intervals:
This one I really don't understand. After the train makes its first circuit, it won't leave the station again until it has a full load. I have the "Wait for any load" box selected, minimum wait time of 15 sec with no max. I tried several different variations on this, but no luck. The dumb thing just sits there for several minutes until the entire train is filled.

Anyone else have this problem, or have a solution?

-The forces/stats thing is just simple math, I'm guessing that will be tweaked into reality for the final version. Same with all the other little stat 'bugs'. I think it's safe to say it'll be working correctly in the final release.

-Make sure you click the box that turns on block section operating mode before you up the number of trains. If it still goes back to 1 train, maybe you're trying to put too many trains on the course?

-The dispatch interval thing is weird. I'm hoping at this point that it's another 'unfinished' feature that has long been fixed in the code for the final release.

Danimales, with the multiple train thing, can you get any ride you build to work with more then one train? The reason I ask this is because I was having the same problem. I could change the number but it had no effect. Then (for other reasons), I updated my graphics card driver and what do you know...I could now get multiple trains running. Think it had something to do with my cursor. Before I updated my cursor would flicker and jump around a bit. With the driver update, now it is stable.

I used to have that same kind of problem in No Limits also. Updating my driver always seems to fix these cursor problems so if your's is flickering a bit, you might try that.

My cursor doesn't flicker, and I'm running on a 128MB DDR NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 graphics card. I don't see why the video card would be an issue, but it can't hurt to try to update the driver I guess! How would I go about updating the driver? Is it a simple download?

So you're still not getting it?

Try this:

1. Download this coaster from CB Games

2. Unzip the track file to the "coaster designs" folder under the RCT3 demo istall

3. Start the demo

4. Import the coaster (It's called Badlands)

This coaster is a dueling/racing mobius design that runs 6 trains. It should have six trains on the course when you build and open the coaster. See if it does when you open it.

Oh, sorry Gonch. I'll have to try your trick when I get home tonight. But I'll be sure to download your file for a true test! 6 trains? Good grief. I guess if I can get that to work anything will work!

Well, that should at least determine if it's some weird thing that's stopping in from working (like the driver suggestion, which still baffles me) or just a settings thing.

Lord Gonchar,

If he has the problem I did, that will not tell him anything. I was able to load rides that already had the multiple trains running just fine. As well as the demo invert. The issue I had was with the video card driver/cusor preventing me from truely selecting the number of trains even though it looked like I was.

Danimales...as to how you would update your driver, just go to the Nvidia homepage and look for updated drivers. Then download and install. One thing though...make sure you follow directions to the letter. Updating video drivers can be a tricky thing sometimes. Things need to be done in the proper order, sometimes you have to uninstall the current ones first etc.

Hope it helps!

try using the driver that came with the manufactuar disk, thats what i did, and now everything works fine, if that doesn't work do like Coasterbuf said and go to the manufactuar website and download the latest driver.
