Storybook Land endures, focused on young families

Posted | Contributed by Jeff

Storybook Land is a family-owned amusement park outside Atlantic City that is meant for children up to 10 years old. At other parks you get Kingda Ka and Top Thrill Dragster, roller coasters at Six Flags in Jackson, N.J., and Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio, that send riders rocketing faster than 100 miles per hour and plunging 400 feet. At Storybook Land you get Bubbles the roller coaster, a happy sea serpent that sails at 18 m.p.h. over a 15-foot drop. Such pint-size thrills have given Storybook Land a niche as larger corporate-owned theme parks have chased ever faster, taller and louder adventures.

Cool article... I always wondered what the story was with this place. For a few years there Storybook land was the only amusement park we went to, in order to introduce our kids to amusement rides LOL.

I went to Storybook Land many times when I was a kid and always had a good visit. It's a really nice park for younger kids, I just wish the credit would have been there the last time I was at the park (I missed it by a few months).
