Stop Bashin MF! - CoasterBuzz

There are alot of people on these forums saying "MF doesn't have any air, the old wheels are better, its going too slow this year!" The thing is 310 feet high! Why complain? I'm sorry if you consider 90-95 mph slow but I just don't. Ok so maybe they went overboard with the overbanked turns but it has an awesome first drop which makes up for any mistakes in the rest of the ride. I haven't been on sros at sfne because I was the there the day after it crashed so I can't say which is better but MF is pretty damn good. My #1 what ever anyone says. I've been on a good amount of coasters (58 in my TR) and its still the best. I love the station music, the elevator lift, the drop, the turns, the tunnels, the bunny hop, and how extremely awesome it is! Be thankful we have a ride this size and this quality in the United States.

Ok you like it. People are entitled to their own opinions. Just because you may think "MF is the best coaster in the world and nothing else is better and if you dont think its good then you should be dragged out to the street and shot" you should let people say what they want. If some one says its overated so be it.

I'm not saying that everyone has to think its #1 but many buzzers don't think that its that good. Whats not good about it?

Maybe it's too fast for them or they simply like different types/manufacturers. You never know. I bet some more people and some less people would like it if it were constructd by B&M.

Maybe your right spongebob (lol) but the main complaint is this: "airtime" don't you get enough on the first drop? 3rd? 5th? 6th?

MF has lots of airtime, that's the only thing people are wrong about it IMO. I'd rather speed 93 mph-60 mph the whole day with long ejector air rather than flip over and over again over a 3,000 foot track anyday.

I dont think its THAT good either! Its my opinion.

It doesnt have much air, which I think is a must for hypers/gigas, but its still a great ride none-the-less. I perfer many coasters over it and I dont think that will change.

I don't like MF at all, not even a top 25 on my list, but it is my opinion and yall shouldn't act so protective of it. I'm not wrong it is just that I have different tastes, personally I rather ride S:RoS at SFDL but I do like the company and I do like the park, its just I don't like that particular coaster. Please, RESPECT my opinion, it is that and in America everyone is entitled to their own.

Of course there is coasters better than Millenium Force and people have opinions that is different than yours. If they say Millenium Force is over rated or it sucks just ignore them or say well it was on Discovery's top 5 coaster.

Out of pure curiosity, WHO has been doing this so-called bashing of Millennium Force? Maybe I was actually experiencing life, but I havent even noticed such a thing (now had you brought this up two years ago...)

And while Millie does have some airtime, it doesnt have that much. NITRO and Apollo's Chariot now there are two rides with a TON of airtime (though I still hold that airtime is overrated in enthusiast circles).

And Superdude, while I've not ridden the Darien Lake version, I have ridden the SFA version. Do you not agree that each corresponding hill on S:ROS is more FORCEfull (pun intended) than on Millie?

But Millennium force has the BEST turnaround of any of the hypers I've been on. I LOVE the combination of left and right turns (remember, I'm essentially a twister freak :))

Ride in the backseat and tell me it doesn't have much air. Each drop has over 5 seconds each. It's unreal.

Why does it matter if people are bashing a coaster? As long as you like it, other people's opinion about it should not matter to you. My favorite coasters never make top 10 lists and are "bashed" sometimes. I don't really care, because I like the rides and if other peeps don't...that's fine with me. Just makes the lines for me a little shorter...
