Stock in the Park Chains

BrettV:

Are the Cedar Flags park schedules actually "shrinking"? Or are they trimming an hour here and there from days where they've pinpointed that the operating costs were not in line with attendance?

Coming from the land of 10am-5pm BGT hours and 6pm and 7pm Universal Orlando closures, cutting some of the later closing times by an hour isn't a major loss.

Not sure of the timing as far as theme parks go, but one of the results of COVID that rarely gets mentioned is businesses taking a hard look at operating hours and cutting times when the return on investment is low or nonexistent. Try to find a full service restaurant open after 9 or 10pm on a weekday now. Or a 24 hour Wal Mart. The restaurants are difficult and I don't know that Wal Mart has any stores left that don't shut down overnight. I'm sure most are finding out that the cost savings are outweighing whatever income they had during the fringe hours. Theme parks are no different.

Jeff:

Are we great again yet?

No.
