Steeper Lifts!!! Steeper drops?

In RCT2, you can build steeper lifts. Could their be steeper drops. life coasters lise S:RoS.

That is exactly what I want. I'm hoping there will be an option to change the drops to the exact degree of steepness you want. I am also hoping you will be able to make inversions the exact height you want. It would be cool if for hyper coasters they had the turnaround of S:RoS.This better not be just another expansion pack.

S:RoS ( SFNE ) is #1!

You might or might not know this, but some coaster types in RCT already have the steep lifts. The Vertical, Steel Wild Mouse, Inverted Wild Mouse, and Wood "Crazy Rodent" types do; I'm not sure if there are any others.

Also, I hope that the Intamin hyper/giga coaster type has vertical drops; that way, I can make Millennium Force clones or near-clones for my parks. I'm also considering a "giga-twister" coaster, again using the Intamin.

"What am I doing?"
"OoooohwhAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

Well guess what? It is an expansion pack! But I don't care its still good anyway. If you look at the screenshots then you'll see that the red Intamin hyper has a 60 degree lift w/ elevator cable and a 60 degree drop. Also, you can see on the building button that it still only has a the same drop angles. Be happy that there is an expansion pack RCT doesn't need a new layout, 3D, or anything like that. If it does become something like that it'll turn into Sim Themepark (very unrealistic). Its fine, the expansion pack will be fine, and if you took the time to look at the screenshots you'd realize the drops are the same.

Superdude, RCT2 is not an expansion pack. Its an entirely new game.

Hey man. Wanna buy some weed? Crack? Freepass on Millennium Force? I got the hook up...

All I want are angled banked turns. Like a turn around on MF or RB's first turn.

Joe, I realize that RCT is a new game but its the same layout and stuff and the game play is the same. The only difference is smart peeps, more rides/features, bigger map, scenario editor, ect. I know you buy it w/out the original but even so its not that much different, just an update.

Yes, you can have banked drops and hills.

I wouldn't care if its a new game or an expansion pack, I'm happy for the new features! Besides, whats in a name?

Yes I'm 15, no I'm not childish, I'm not being sarcastic, well maybe I do have somewhat of an ego...

A 60 degree lift hill and drop won't look right I wish it would of be something like a 30 degree lift and 70 degree drop but its ok cause I can't wait till the game come out.

45* lifts

75* or 80* drops, that works best

we already have 30* 60* and 90* and that isnt enuf, and it takes out the realism, to make a good MF we need 45* and 80*

and anyway if there was 45* we could do real B&M camelbacks in the special menu.

AND WE NEED GIANT DROPS!!!!!!

X-Flight gives you wwwwwwwwwwwwwiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggggsssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just remember that each piece of track has to fit into a three-dimensional grid, and has to start and end in predictable places in predictable ways, so that it can join with other sections of track. This greatly limits the available angles that "work", so you'll never see the ability to specify an exact angle or anything. As an example, notice how LONG the steep downhill track is. If you want it steeper, it'd have to be even longer than that, which wouldn't be too useful (think how tall the minimum sized hill would have to be in order to use that section of track).

There should be steeper drops of every 10 degrees. Does anybody know what Intamin Hypers in the game will be called? "Box tracked Steel Twister" might be a possibility..but I don't know.
I was wondering that too, maybe you can just build the coaster and then change the track type...

The way the graphics are designed, you cannot have custom-steepness hills, and you can't get new drop angles unless Sawyer decides to add a whole butt-load of new graphics to the game.

From the looks of the editor in the old screenshots, besides going vertical (which isn't new), he hasn't.

You could do banked turns kind of like SROS...but it will be limited. To be able to do it halfway decent, we're going to have to be able to turn going upwards steep on a turn angle of 45* (the one next to the straight button). You can do that twice banked, then straighten out banked, and then go down like that. MF's would be a lot harder, since it's so much bigger.

I lost my hat on Poison Ivy. How pathetic.

Superdude, sounds like a drastic enough change to me to call it RCT 2.

And BTW has anyone noticed that 30-60-90 is geometrically a type of right triangle? (30-60-90 Triangle)? Perhaps the ride graphics and/or physics are centered around that kind of geometry, and he can't change it... (But if that's the case, why no 45 degree hills?)

My nickels worth of free advice.
