Steel Venom at GL.....Whats going on???

Ok, so I've driven past the park a couple times, and I have noticed that the train has been taken apart. in fact there were only a couple of cars left on the track. What happened to this ride? Also, when driving by the park, I've noticed that they never run two trains on the Villain. I remember being there for physics day and one train on the Villain is just horrible to wait for....at the bottom of the stairs it takes about twenty minutes.

As rough as Villain has supposedly gotten (haven't ridden in a few years) I'd imagine a possible reason for running one train on Villain (if they're doing that consistently) would be to keep the track from getting torn up any more than it already has. *** Edited 8/27/2006 5:15:53 PM UTC by matt.***
Villain had two trains going on Fridays and Saturdays for most of the summer. This last Friday it was running two for most of the day, then in the evening they took one off.
I can't help you with Steel Venom, but Villain was running two trains on last Sunday (August 20th). They added the second while we were in line. *** Edited 8/27/2006 4:44:37 PM UTC by Arson***

Venom is shut down because the ride destroyed itself.

The fins on the top of the train that are guided though the LIMS and magnetic brakes, became "unaligned" and well, you put the two together.

It probley made some crazy noises and parts were a fallin'.

:)

Man this is a great success! for Intamen, because nobody dyed
POINTON3,

I never thought there could be so many mistakes made in one sentence, or is it two?

From what I heard it is closed indefinitely, and possibly for the rest of the year.

Gomez;

Don't be so critical at all! I'm not as dumb as you think (linear induction motors)

How do you know how dumb he thinks you are?
So putting Linear induction motors in parentheses proves ones Intelligence?

I'm pretty sure I think I know how dumb he thinks he is but the real question is how dumb he thinks he thinks he is, I think. *** Edited 8/28/2006 1:44:02 AM UTC by matt.***

(linear induction motors) - I prefer backwards launches! ;)
It's like a new form of punctuation for enthusiasts (linear induction motors)

I was in the park on sunday(8/27), and stell venom was still down. Also, villain was only running one train.

The only line in the park was for x flight, and that was due to the fact that they were only running one train with 5 min station intervals. *** Edited 8/28/2006 5:27:54 AM UTC by crazy horse***

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

This ride has eluded me three separate years! Seems like everytime I've gone (since the ride has been there), it's been closed. I've done V2 at SFGAm, but I still want the credit! :)

coastin' since 1985

^ Get the Maxx pass, then you'll be able to get that credit *regardless* of which park re-opens the ride... ;)
