Steel Phantom's Loops?

What did Kennywood do with them?I would like to buy them and put them in my back yard for the ultimate yard decoration.

Some of the track that was removed was cut up in small (2-3 ft.) pieces and sold on eBay. A lot probably went to a recycler.

They're being sent to Lake Compounce and will be reconstructed for the 2002 season as a shuttle looper.

I heard they're going to combine them with spare parts of Windjammer for CP's 2002 coaster called, "Windspammer".

Why not just melt them down and use it for a future coaster.

The track itself was rough, so why salvage it when you can just recycle it and turn that molted metal into new track for Arrow Dynamics???

Dawg Byte, they won't do that because it is not Arrow property. That would be like taking your old Pentium II and having Intel melt the material (theoreticall). They won't because it isn't thiers, but yours. The track is Kennywood's, not Arrow's.

Why can that never happen?

The track is neither Kennywood's nor Arrow's anymore. It has met its final demise somewhere in the Pittsburgh area and may well have found new life by now as an Iron City Beer can or replacement fender for your car.

Could you describe the ruckus?

I am sure kennywood will use them for a little coaster at idile wild. The park has been quite for a long time.
