Ask this question again at the end of May. I'm sure both Intamin Fan and I will ring in with a *blow-by-blow* description. It also *may* be my first true Morgan coaster (if I dont get to Steel Force first).

It is a awesome ride with tons of airtime.
Steel Eel rocks, I think.  Little on the smallish size but it provides fantastic ejector air, something not common among Morgan (non-Phantom's Revenge) hypers.

First half has body slamming air, then second half has some nice floats.  Great coaster!

Hmm...and you know how? Not only do you have it in your sig, but it proves your lying by your track record. Now why go and do that?

Some people aren't able to update their track record, because you have to be a Coasterbuzz Club member.

Summer 1999: went to no parks save one trip to SFGAm with the parents before moving east in July

Summer 2000: had no car and didnt feel like paying the *baby taxes*; trips 'limited' to Carowinds, SFA, IOA/USF, SFGAm, SFO, CP, PKI & SFKK (family vacation)

Summer 2001: Went to (at least) 17 different parks, 8 of them multiple times. *Wanted* to go to Dorney but ran out of time. :(

Before 1999, I hadnt really even heard of Dorney Park. Yeah, I saw Steel Force on a coaster show, but I thought it was an Arrow coaster and looked not much different from Magnum (an opinion I still hold). But I had no concept of where "Allentown, PA" was.

I'd agree with Legendary's breakdown of the first and second halves of Eel, but I didn't experience the airtime as intensely.  I rode twice in front, and twice in back, and, surprisingly, found better air in front.  Compared to the three hypers I've ridden (Magnum, Goliath and Raging Bull), Steel Eel felt like a "family" junior hyper.  Considering the lap bar was down as far as it could go, and was still three inches above my legs, I really didn't experience powerful airtime.

Still, it's a beautiful ride, and plenty fun.  But it is, indeed, a "junior" hyper.

It isn't even a hyper though, because it isn't 200 feet tall and doesn't drop 200 feet, right?  It is 150' tall and has a 150' drop, I thought.

Perhaps MikeMir can't update his coaster count, but last I checked you can do anything you want with your sig, and he says exactly what two parks he's been too.

Time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like bananas.

How much did it cost?  It doesnt say on RCDB.  I would assume it was less than 10 million, because thats how much most of the morgan hypers.  If it was 10 mil. than why didnt they just get a hyper? Any info would help?
Hmmm, only in 2002 would anybody say the drop is "only" 150 ft as if that is small, or something.
The ride is very, very fun. Nothing spectacular or epic, but at the same time a good ride overall. As has been said here already, there is plenty of airtime, and you pick up some great speed going around the far turn. This is one of the few rides I have laughed on during my first trip because it surprised me that it was as good as it was.
Since we're on the topic of Morgan coasters...Has anyone heard of the new Morgan Hyper due in the 2002 season down in Mexico?

Whats the difference between Michael Jackson and a plastic bag?

Actually, the SFM coaster is no longer being built.  They got in trouble with the city for breaking ground before they got a permit to build and are now banned from building it.

Well yeah, how spoiled we all are but really, why not a hyper.  I know they could afford it.It is like building a ride with a 199 foot drop or a 193(what could that be?:))
