S:TE up for sale?

Add some pulleys, a multi-ton weight and lots of cable so you can save a lot of money on electricity. Perhaps some Tidal Wave parts can be found in a bone-yard somewhere. ;)
To me then, it sounds like they are going to sell the park for sure. Why would they want that ride to get out of there? There are much worse rides at that park. That ride did get a nice line when I was at the park. V2 uses a hunk of energy at SFGAm too. It might not be as fast, but it's the same thing.

V2 might even use more because of many more riders. Why do they want to sell it? Is it because new owners want them to get rid of it so they don't have dismantle it. Why isn't Flashback for sale, or junky Psyclone sold instead? That ride is nowhere near horrible, and it gets a line.

Well, Flashback and Psyclone would probably require bribes to get someone to take them off SF's hands :)

Psyclone especially. Flashback is worthwhile as a curiosity if nothing else.

Somebody should email and ask the seller if the superman model at the top of the tower is included ;)

Have you seen that Superman lately? He has seen better days for sure. He looks about 100 years old!
i emailed him and nothing yet
^On behalf of everyone here, I'd like to thank you for your unwitting entertainment.

Superman never returned your e-mail, Audioslaved? :(

;)

Well, there is only a $25,000 difference between S:TE and Freefall. I think there is a confusion...or maybe just a prank. It's very easy to get the company's information.

Just some small details to notice:

- "Listing Began Dec 1 - 23:50" Why would a company begin selling a ride at 11:50 at night?

- The ride length is wrong. The page says 1315' but rcdb says 1235'.

- Why hasn't the Intermark site listed the sale? You'd think this would be something big enough to put on your own site, especially after 14 days since the sale was originally posted. http://www.intermarkridegroup.com/home/index.php

Has anyone tryed calling Intermark yet to verify the coaster's for sale?

Roller Coasters...my first true love.
still no response. I think if you were selling something like this you would be checking your email everyday. Also doesnt everyone think there would be something like a news report on here or wouldnt you think they would of said something on that news report about six flags 2007

It's listed here at Intermark - http://72.14.253.104/search?q=cache:OX2m29eNf-kJ:www.intermarkridegroup.com/used-rides/roller-coasters/index.php+intamin+free+fall+intermark&hl=en&gl=us&ct=clnk&cd=4

But it's strange that it's been removed since.

I see. Then the sale was probably miscommunication between S:TE and Freefall, though, I don't know why they'd delete the sale from their site and not from Amusement Trader.

kRaXLeRidAh said "...if you're arguing that the pics are wrong, then how do you explain all the ride's specifications? I don't know of any 100-mph, 415-feet high 1st-Generation Freefall rides."

What if the specs are based off of the pics? Most people in the ride industry know about S:TE just because it's a well known coaster.

HAR HAR HAR :)

(Just a laugh, nothing more)

airtime for everyone
Why are you guys saying it's not for sale anymore? I clicked into the Intermark link and it was right there, although you could not get to the specs without a login, most likely because someone (ahem Audioslaved) was pestering a legitimate business with stupid questions that do not matter to them.

Why would anyone trying to sell a ride for a little more than my house is worth bother with some kid's email about which coaster it is? Seriously.

But back to the ride removal, do you think the Discovery and Travel channels will stop running the coaster specials from back when this ride was actually something special and not just "ho hum"?
