Stations

When you guys build stations, do you build the ride first then and the station or Vise Versa?

Both. Depends on where my inspiration is that day. If I have a station idea, I'll build the station first. If I have a coaster idea then that comes first. Neither way seems to be "better" than the other. It's whatever works.

What i did in Loopy Landscapes was raise the land 3 squares wide 6 things wide, build the station and the coaster, and theme it. (personal preferance)

Im just working on my 4D coaster in RC Designer.

Don't Worry- Its ONLY 230 feet tall.

i'm with Gonchar, but if i do decide to do the station first, i usually build the coaster's station, and as much track as i need 2 do the station so i'll have a guide. i built a 315' Giovanola Giga (with the help of raised land in certain spots 2 get it that tall;)) and did the station with a peice of track then built the rest of the coaster. came out very good thanks 2 inspiration from Kick the Sky

hmmmm. can't think of one, sorry :)

I dont think I've *ever* built a coaster *without* building the station first. Usually, I'll build the station and the run *into* the station (make sure I have enough space to complete the circuit) before proceeding with the rest of the ride.

In *my mind* it just doesnt seem logical to *not* have the station/return run in place before getting all *creative* with the track. Come to think of it, the *most* important piece of my park designing is finding space for my long stations (I like running three trains when possible). I can think of *once* when I didnt plan out the station first and ended up only being able to run one train. I didnt like that much.

If you block the ride and use two stations, it's even more critical to build the stations and your standby block first. That's a lot of low-ground real estate to use.

I generally build the station first and then build backwards, adding some elements to keep the excitement near the ride's end, not to mention the brakes as well. From there, I proceed to build the ride and surprisingly enough, I have never had different coasters designed exactly the same (excludes racers and duelers).

I build and tweak the coaster before I spend the time on building a station. If the ride doesn't turn out with good ratings and a stable operation, I just scrap it and start from scratch. I usually just build a station and other theming to fit the ride.

I always build the station first, then the lift hill, etc. It always seems as if I do things in the order the game puts them. Funny enough, about theming the station, ive never been much for theming and if you see my rides you'll notice that most of them are plain. I rely on the ride experiance to get my ratings.
