State will keep El Toro closed at Six Flags Great Adventure, cites structural damage

State officials say El Toro at Six Flags Great Adventure will remain closed because of structural damage to support columns following an incident on August 25 that sent some riders to the hospital.

Well, since Cedar Point will be putting Kingda Ka to shame, I guess they'll have to have RMC but Steel Vengeance to shame. ;)

It’s all hearsay at the moment, but if it’s true that the ride crew reported a major pothole to maintenance, and maintenance either ignored it or didn’t identify the significance of the problem, then the park is going to have a major liability issue on its hands.

The thing for sure is that New Jersey doesn’t play around.
