An official of the Massachusetts Department of Public Safety has been invited to observe the investigation into the accident at Six Flags New England where two trains on Superman collided in the station. State law does not entitle the state to investigate accidents. The park is expected to release its findings at the conclusion of the investigation.

CoasterCliff,
I still have to say that it is not the station brakes. You all heard what paul ruben said. There's no way those brakes could have failed. But what about the fin?

Raging Bull: Dont fight it, ride it!
Final design is that it was the station brakes. and any thing from a brief power failure to a sage could have allowed the train to slip through. but if any of you wish to believe in a all powerful foolproof brake setup, go ahead. Nothing is foolproof.

But it is 8-18-01 and Superman ROS is now reopened.
