State Fair of Texas erects Skycoaster

With one of its four new "X-Treme" rides cancelled for the 2002 fair, the State Fair of Texas has given the old Screamin' Skycoaster from Fiesta Texas a new home and new paint job.

Why was it removed from SFFT?
Several issues like problems with AMI (company that owned and ran it) and locals in the La Cantera development around the park.

That's pretty funny that the map of the fair hasn't been updated in forever and they're showing a defunct coaster. People are gonna be asking "where's the Comet?" and it just won't be there! Ha!

i have not been to the state fair since 1986, i think pookie will like it, i know i will. he likes the shows, i like the historic buildings, and other things from 1936.

even though the "old" midway is long gone, there is a new one that is even more thrilling than the one i grew up with-1969-1986.

3 out of the 4 voices in my head say, go for it!
