Stark RAVEN Mad '02 Agenda now Online

I just put the agenda for SRM '02 on the blind link off our website dedicated to info for coaster enthusiasts.

Please go to holidayworld.com/srm to see it. You'll also get a copy when you arrive for the event.

Registration packets will be available through the Group Sales windows at the Front Gate beginning at 9:30 am CT Friday. The packets will be available throughout the entire event--even after the park is closed to the public.

Please note that Bob Coker will be on hand for book signings both days. His "Roller Coasters: A Thrill Seeker's Guide to the Ultimate Scream Machine" will be sold through Legend Photos both days.

Some enthusiasts have asked about using their all-day admission ticket on Friday instead of Saturday -- that's fine. Or you can purchase a Next-Day ticket for $15 ($14.95 for card-carrying members of coaster clubs) and come both days.

Please note that the ZOOMbabwe ERT is "all or nothing" -- gotta be on time to participate and gotta stay the full two hours.

Speaking of ZOOMbabwe... How was the "grand opening" this past weekend? I imagine that it was pretty chilly. Can't wait to have ERT on the world largest enclosed water slide!

It was FREEZING! Sorry, can't come up with any appropriate PR words..."refreshing" or "exhilarating" would be too far from the truth.

Nonetheless, my 10-year-old son spent about 3 hours in the water park -- and lived to tell the story. :)

Model coasters and rides

The PTCs are gleaming in the sunshine--just beautiful! I had some friends from PKI on a tour a bit ago and we all stood still reverently as The Legend zoomed through the structure of the new ZOOMbabwe. Quite a sight to see!
