Curious: What's so awful about Vortex?

To me, Vortex isn't all that awful. It's a nice, intense ride. However, I guess because, knowing Jonathan, extreme roughness isn't in for him. :) What a wuss. ;)

But after riding Mantis and Riddlers Revenge, Vortex ain't my favorite, either. But still, Vortex is still nowhere boring. :)

Great pics, Jonathan. My next visit, embarrasingly, will probably be June and will probably be my ONLY visit this year unless my mom lets me drive there. Darn you :)

Vortex hurts! Thats whats awful about it.

It looks like Carowinds is on a roll to re-theme the park. Last year they redid the front entrance. I think it'd be great if they worked on a different area each year and added a hyper coaster to make the park complete.

It doesn't hurt that much! The corkscrew is the only very intense/rough part of the whole ride. The very back is the best because you get a little airtime over the hill after the loop. Oh and the park looks very nice year so come to Carowinds and don't forget to ride Vortex because its not that bad!:)

Yup, it doesn't hurt. You're just hearing overstatements. Vortex, in short, is a short, intense, and a good ride!

Awsome. I am so pleased to see Carowinds get better and better. This is truely a great park. It just needs some upgrades. And that it is getting. Now all the park Needs is a bigger coaster. please! Carowinds needs a Hyper Coaster, or a Flying Coaster, or Floorless. But i think that the thing they will go for will most likely be a Hyper coaster. And that would be so Awsome. I grew up very near Carowinds. So the park is very close to my heart. And i hope that one day they get a Record-Breaking coaster.

Ok guys, don't overblow my caption for that Vortex pic now . Sure, Vortex isn't my favorite ride in the world, but it really isn't that bad. It is fairly rough, but not enough to bother me. I just never 'get anything' out of it.

Vortex is not that bad. It is just short. And i never get anything out of it. Sure it is ok. It is a little thrilling. But I have already rode the thing countless times. So when i got to Carowinds this year i may not ride it again. but i might. Just so that i can say i have ridden everything there again, and again. boy they need something new.

Vortex is way to short. Its a ok ride but if the line is long i dont know if its really worth it..... I am going to carowinds this sat. again YAY last tem we didnt ride vortex because the line was long. cant wait to go agian im gonan go early ride time so i can get a few rides on TG whoo hooo!
