Stand UP

what is your favorite stand up coaster? I tried Mantis last summer it was okay but I still love my hometime fav Shockwave at PKD!
It's gonna take a while for any stand-up to top the Riddler's Revenge.
well if Iron Wolf was still smooth it be my #1, but since it now beats your head I'd have to say Riddler, with Mantis a close second.

Get wrapped in the coils of Viper at SFGAm.

shock wave PKD its the best also my home town park

Drachen fire What will happen to it?????????????
King Cobra! Then again, Mantis is the only other I've ridden, so I don't have many to choose from...
Man, Iron Wolf ever smooth, not that I remember. Well, anyway I would have to say Georgia Scorcher. Although it's a pretty short ride it's a good one at that. Then, I would have to say Riddler's revenge
Have any of you ridden Chang? That ride is INTENSE! It's basically the same a Mantis but has an extra corkscrew. It makes it a lot better. That would be my favorite, King Cobra would be a close second.

It's his turn to feast, when you ride the Son of Beast!

When the Iron Wolf first opened it had no headbanging and even in 96 it had no headbanging but it has not aged well, ansd now has a horrible headbanging problem.

So, B&M rollercoasters is getting rought after 5 years. That is not a good sign.

No contest... Riddler's Revenge.

From the hang-time on the first 3 inversions to the tight turns and fast pace of the second half, this is one perfect coaster. Now, about the B&M banana seat from Hell....

"X" marks the spot in 2001!
Mantis was really good. I can't say anything about any others since I haven't ridden them. I love the inclined loop and the quick changes in direction. Great coaster!

The absolute best stand-up is the Georgia Scorcher. The best air-time on the first straight down hill and the second hill. What a rush.
Mantis was great -- it and Iron Wolf are what convinced me that stand-ups are the best kind of trains out there. I'd like to ride the Riddler's Revenge and Chang and some others when I get the chance.

I haven't noticed B&M's getting rough over time. I didn't think the Iron Wolf was too rough, and both the Raptor and the Kumba are fairly old and they're as smooth as any other B&M out there.
It all boils down to maintenance, people. Take care of it, and it'll keep giving a great ride.
I thought King Cobra was pretty cool at PKI since it has airtime, but I like Mantis because of its intensity.

Yeah, once there was an overweight man, a very tall man. This was at SFGAm he had the strap streched to the max!! The women came to help him, but it looked like it hurt. It was on Iron Wolf. He was a fan to the maxed to go through the pain(of the ride and his area).
Riddler's Revenge has hangtime, airtime, G forces and speed and one hell of a ride!
Riddler's Revenge is easily the best stand up roller coaster.
I've only been on one, Mantis. It's one of my favorite coasters out there, and my 2nd favorite B&M.
