Stagecoach accident at Knotts?
I have read a rumor that yesterday there was a runaway stagecoach accident at Knott's Berry Farm. The rumor suggested that guests were taken to the hospital and one horse was killed. Anyone know more?
I haven't heard anything. I know Cedar Point stopped having stagecoach rides in Frontier Land in 1968 after they had a runaway stagecoach... hope it isn't the same sort of accident and results.
Wild West City, the forgotten amusement park, has a stagecoach ride. It is one of the few rides they have!

They were teasing it and eventually talking about it this morning on 980AM (LA news station, does traffic so it gets a lot of play during my drive to work). They were semi-sketchy on the details, but they made it sound like some brakes in the stagecoach failed or something and it ended up pushing the horses along. Three were slightly hurt (cuts and bruises) but will be fine, the other horse was killed. Sounds like nobody *in* the stagecoach was seriously hurt either, just rattled and maybe a few cuts and bruises.
Definitely not something you want to experience on a trip to an amusement park. Well, not something you really want to experience at all, I'd think.
