How tall are those towers?

I'm an adrenaline junkie.
Goal is Aug. 1st.. Yes.. you read that right.. 30 days from ground breaking to public access.
Price.. no one knows yet.. I'm on my way up ther eright now to get the next set of photo's and talk to the S&S guys about a few other things. I'll see if they are pretty confident that they will make the target date.

You are actually wrong about being the first park to install an S&S Slingshot...Magic Mountain's is already finished being constructed, the towers are about 275-280 ft tall and the price will be around $30 dollars. Whats the name of CP'S?? Ours is "Thrill Shot".
If you really want to scare me, forget about the thrill rides. Just put me in one of those baskets hanging from a crane 250 feet up swaying in the wind. Now that's frightening!
Are you sure that the ride will be ready by Aug. 1st?

Yeeee Haaawwww!
Yes it is just go to Americacoasters.com and check out the picks, it was finished yesterday. I never said that it was open I jsut said that the construction of it was finished. Your's is still 1 tower behind ours!!!!!!!
The cost is $15, and less for groups.
Wonderful news... that means that SFMM's will open shortly after CP's since CP was first in line to get the attraction and open it. This attraction is absolutely insane if you ask me! Then there's one more out there to be installed... hmmm....

I don't usually comment on people's pictures, but great job RGR!
Why did they do this in the wee hours of the morning? Is the park too busy during the day?

Well... here's a bit of a what if for ya...
What if for some odd reason, the crain broke and smashed into Magnum while it was running?? That could have the possibility of sucking... that would be my personal guess as to why they did it at night. Same as SFMM... they'd done all their work at night to my knowledge. Areas that are that close to public areas are usually done when there aren't any people around. At least that's been my own experience...

Yep.. when raising the towers, they wanted a min of general public.. SOme of us were allowed in to take pics.
btw.. the SFMM is actually about a 2 days behind the point of CP's. CP did alot more of the ground prep on the towers than the SFMM crew did. That and SFMM lost a day when thier crane went down. This from the guy from S&S.

the pictures are cool, good job. this new ride looks awsome. the only thing is, i bet they would get more operating time if they put it in their main amusement park. but this way having it in their challenge park will make the park more money.-----looks like alot of fun!
Actually.. they'll get more operating time in Challenge Park, it's open an hour later than the rest of the park.. hehehehe

Forget the safety of distant objects, this thing is a few feet from people walking by and hundreds of small children in Soak City (one of the towers isn't more than 30 feet from the fence). If this thing didn't have such a small footprint, you'd never believe they put it where they did.
