S&S Free Fly

Flight Deck at KI

It looks like the webs on the suspended coaster track are much thicker than those on the new Free Fly. The track also appears to have a wider gauge than the suspended coasters, but that may be an illusion because of the width of the cars.

Don't the 4D's have a wider track gauge than the loopers?

The first S&S free fly has opened in Sweden. Pictures here. Video here. What's interesting is it looks like the only restraint is a simple seat belt. The ride looks slow but fun.

Apparently they are still using the old school arrow anti-rollbacks on the lift. That was an instantly recognizable sound.

That sure seems like a lot of heavy train and extensive support system for something that only has eight seats. I'd be shocked if they ever sold on in the states.

Hmm. I wonder if this is the ride system for the heavily-rumored Monsters Inc. coaster at WDW Studios? Word is suspended, but something "totally new". Re: capacity---build enough block zones, and you could pull it off, as long as load/unload is fast.

It looks interesting, but I bet it rattles the crap out of you -- or if it doesn't, it will within a year.

I can't even see anything other than text on the screen & wheever you click on the links at the bottom it just essentially refreshes the page.

Try this:

1. Go to YouTube.com

2. Search for: Skara Summarland Tranan

3. Watch videos.

4. Complain that SFA is being screwed by SF Corp.

Google S&S Worldwide, the first link should be the one that takes you to the homepage. From there click Free Fly.

If you double up the station like TTD or KK, capcity shouldn't be a problem. Then again, how does this thing load and unload.

In terms of layout, I'm surprised it doesn't have more rolls. I would think that would be the most unique thing (and something a suspended couldn't do) that the coaster could do.
