sros ran 2 trains today!!!!!

thats right, i went to SFNE and SROS was running both trains all day...WITH PEOPLE!!!hahahaah. And despite the horrendous amount of people in the ppark the wait was only 15-45 minutes aproximatly. I took 3 rides in a row. front seat, back seat, and second to back. I was with my sis and her boyfreind (sfgram local, thinks viper and whizzer ae the 2 best rides there, raging bull is boring, complete GP all the way (didnt even know that indiana beach had coasters even though they play commercials in chicago)) and by that i mean the commercials dont show or mention the coasters...they just say theres more than corn in indiana and show the waterpark (theres a water park???)

it was a fun day. The red train (logo still missing) was FLYING, blue train was a little slower, i think older wheels... only stayed in the park for like 5 hrs (3 sros, 1 bdk, 1 thunderbolt, 1 twister, 1 buzzsaw then out. ) the place was packed, but sros was empty...if i was there alone i would have just went on it all day cause the line was getting progressively shorter as the day wore on.

the whole behind the red line thing seems really pointless though..what is the reason for that?

This is awesome news. Finally! Hopefully they will keep it up.

SFA's S:ROS is still only running 1 train (the blue one). Everytime I have been there this season (4 times so far), they have only been running the blue train. Anyone know what the deal is?

84 coasters in Track Record!! Hypersonic XLC # 100 in July. Waiting for the 305 foot drop tower in 2003. Thank you PKD.

Scoaster, probably just a coincidince... or maybe you went on days that the park didnt need to run the ride at full capacity.

Im the #1 Canobie Lake Park Fan!!!These are my top 3 coasters:
1. S:RoS @ SFNE 2. Yankee Cannonball 3. Cyclone

Scoaster, they had been running only one train since last year's incident... (the two trains collided)(http://www.ultimaterollercoaster.com/news/archives/august01/stories/080601_01.shtml)

When I went on June 30th, a ride attendant told me it would be another 17 days until both trains would be operating. However, I'm glad to hear that the second train is up and running.

What's up with SFA only running one train on S:ROS? when I was there last weekend it was running only the blue train until mid afternoon and the ride was closed right after we got off so the red train could be added.

SFA's S:ROS has been running both traiins for a good part of the season now,the reason for the red train being off line was for the wheels to be changed.

The red lines in the station are probably because idiots lean on the air gates and when they open, the people end up doing something dumb, like falling onto the train.

-----------------

Great. I thought someone posted in another post that there was a logo on it...or was it just a rumor?

I lost my hat on Poison Ivy. How pathetic.

coasttocoaster, he said SFA's ride of steel not SFNE's.

Yes I'm 15, no I'm not childish, I'm not being sarcastic, well maybe I do have somewhat of an ego...

yeah, i read that the logo was there too, but it deffinatly wasn't. i looked for it a bunch of times and the front seat ride i took was on the red train. No logo there at all...unless i simply got partial blindness for the day and my brain could only process the blue trains logo...either was it was running like crazy

also, the comment about john being GP is not saying that hes a GP because of his preference in coasters...but rather to provide some people with the knowledge that even the GP thinks the viper is the best ride at the park (SFGrAm...im gonna be going to visit them in a few weeks and were hitting that, indiana beach, and michigans adventure...i cant wait)

-will be hitting coaster 100 this summer (unless i already have)

That is so awsome! I'm going to SFNE on the 9th and I can't wait. Thanks for the news! Has anyone else been to on Superman since they've been running 2 trains?
hey i have been reading this site for a while and i was there yesturday and the logo on the red train WAS THERE! how could you miss it. So shiney, so much airtime, mmm intamin....
Yep, I rode it today. Didn't get on the red train (added @ about 1:20). I have pics of it in action on my website, www.sfne.zzn.com ......(shameless plug...lol)

I've been to SFA two times in the last 2 weeks and they were running 2 trains on SROS both times. I was impressed considering that the park was empty both times. It was a walk on both days. It must just be bad luck for you or I've been very lucky myself. I'll be at SFNE this August so I am very glad they have both running again. I'm surpised to hear that the park was packed but SROS was almost empty though. Could the crash still be in the back of the GP minds or were they really cycling people through it that fast?

They actually started two train operations on friday (July 5th), but still had complications getting trains through the brake run...it was so bad, they had attendants actually pushing trains through the brake run. When they couldn't get them through the brake run in time, the other train would stop on the lift hill...I was on the blue train that morning and we stopped twice on the lift hill. Anyway, two train ops only lasted about 10 minutes due to the brake run problems.

Happy Coastering!

How long were the waits for Batman The Dark Knight?

20-30 mins, Sometimes even shorter. The line moves pretty fast.

As far as I can tell, the accident hasn't impacted very many people's desire to ride. Nobody really talks about it at the park anymore, and the lines seem just as long as the were before the accident (I never waited more than 1 hr. for 2 train op, even on Sats.)

A rollercoaster? What's that?

Have the 2 trains been running consistantly now?
