SRM Auction to include Banshee sign, coaster wheel

Wanted to give everyone the heads up that as part of the opening ceremonies for Stark RAVEN Mad '03 on Friday, May 30, we will auction off some park junk...er, priceless treasures. :)

We will auction the 4'x8' sign from the Banshee, as well as a smaller version.

Also, a number of wheels from The Raven's PTC train (road wheels, side wheels and upstop wheels) plus several side wheels from The Legend's former G-train.

I'll scrounge around and find other items, but I would imagine the above will create the most interest. The money will be donated to a charity or other non-profit cause.

Hope to see you in May! Paula

But Paula....if you auction off the wheels to those gorgeous PTCs, what is Jeff H. gonna do to send us through the courses at breakneck speed...;)
You know...I was going to address that in my post. But I thought, "No, I wouldn't want to insult their intelligence!"

Zinga! Paula

Paula - perhaps in the future you could put out a press release in English, as you normally do, and a version in "Gatoreese" ;)

Paula HAS been taking my Berlitz course....it's short, but oh, SO sweeeet....:)
Gator, I thought you knew. Jeff and crew have installed The Gravity Groups new magnetic levitation sytem to the Raven. A few wheels are still needed to give that "woody feel" but the vast preponderence (Don't I sound smart when I say vast preponderence?) have been removed and should alleviate the need for any future retracking of the ride.

Amazing I tell ya.

If you believe that I have a Giga at Indiana Beach I'll sell ya.

Well, you did until I looked it up and found that you spelled it wrong. ;)

Has anyone ever attended/participated in such an auction? I'd like to know around how much something like a coaster wheel would usually sell for...any idea?

Vater I would also like to know. That would be a great souvenir. A lot of people went to SRM 02 and hey had some wheels there so some people will probably know.

I dropped out of the bidding for the Legend logo that had been on the old Gerst train at around $500. I really wanted that, though...

Wheels should probably go for quite a bit less, though.

Thanks for the heads up Paula!
Of course if the price gets anywhere near $500.00 you can forget that! I've got another CP tattoo I'm saving up for! ;) (and this 16.2 Quarter gelding but that's another story! ;))

It's all about getting around the barrels or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and still looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that? :)
