If this were me I'd take the following approach:
1. Determine what my travel range is and what parks fall into that range. (if I don't know an area, I consult RCDB)
2. Check those park's websites for operation hours, calendars, etc and see when they're open.
3. Decide on my options and go have fun
I've planned quite a few trips in areas where I wasn't even sure what parks were around using this method. To be quite honest, in the long run, it's probably faster and more accurate than having other people tell you what to do.

From Hollister's sig, it seems like you live in CA, in Hollister to be precise. Paramount's Great America just up in San Jose opens in several days, so you can go there. Or, if you're willing to drive down to Southern California, you've got Disneyland, California Adventure, and Knotts all within 3 miles of one another, and SFMM a good 1 hour and a half to the north on I-5.
