Spread out or jammed together?

How do you like your park layout? All the rides jammed together like Cedar point and SFWOA or spread out like PKI?Personally I like the coasters spread out.
I like it.Cedar point has to because its so small. When are they going to build there coasters over the water.
I like some coasters intertwined, but some laid out nicely. For example, at PKI it would have been cool for Top Gun to go into the structure of SOB. That would have been cool.

Spread out, but not too much. BGW is a perfect example. The coasters have plenty of breathing room and fit in nicely with the surroundings.
I prefer both. But I dont like rides spread apart too much...Example Kumba & Montu. They are at least a mile maybe more from each other.

I like both too. I like being able to see a bunch of rides together...but it needs to be planned. If they are all thrown together, it looks ugly. I like how Riddler's Revenge is bunched together with the freefall and is close to the Tidal Wave. It makes the coaster ride more of a trip.

Coorections First: I wouldn't say PKI is spread out. They are all jammed on the (West?) side of the park. Plus, CP is not small. It's one of the biggest parks in the world. Heck, it's a resort.

To answer the question, I do like them spread out like Busch Gardens Williamsburg. But Cedar Point's and SFMM's skyline of coasters is cool looking too.
you are correct martling, PKI is jammed in the "Action Zone" as it is called. They need to build more coasters in the older sections of the park: for example, out by the Beast, maybe one where the old fashioned car rides (cant remember the name: think its Les Taxis) are.
This is my thing on why they dont have anything over there: maybe (this is a hypothesis, not fact) they are out of land over by that area. The Beast does go for 25(?) acres. You never know

There's plenty of room out by the Beast at PKI. I heard that they own all the land back to the water over there. Check out this terraserver pic to see how much land that actually is.

I like both park layouts as well. When I think of rides jammed together, Lost Kennywood comes to mind. It's a beautifully demented mass of steel coasters, a Giant Drop, a shoot-the-chutes, and a whole mess of older rides.

As for more spread-out parks, I have to say I like the vastness of Busch Gardens Tampa. You have to walk around the park between Kumba and Montu. The whole thing is very well done, and there are great transitions between the themed areas.

I don't really consider Cedar Point all that jammed together. When talking about spread out, I like to see coasters a distance apart - like CP is. One coaster does not have it's entrance smack next to another one - Mantis/MF being the closest, I believe. I like having the smaller rides clustered around the coasters, since it gives you a lot to do in the one area.

I do like how BGT is spread out, like you said themeparkne, because the landscaping is so nicely done - you really have a chance to appreciate it while you go from one coaster to another. On the other hand (and I'm not talking about BGT here), the more spread out a park is, I find it is harder to find the rides you're looking for. I think CP has a nice layout.

I think that it depends on the amount of visitors that the park attracts. I don't like when a park is jammed together and there is a huge crowd in it. Makes for a poor atmosphere. There are exceptions to that rule. I also like when a park is spread out as long as it has transportation to the different sections(Monorails, skyrides, etc.)Really it all comes down to the individual park and how they handle their crowds. I don't like waiting hours for one coaster ride, but if its a great coaster I guess I have to deal.
I like how SFMW has all their coasters sitting together at the front of the park. It's just a beautiful site seeing Medusa, Roar, Kong and Cobra all running as you enter the park. But I also like the spread out, hidden layout of SFMM. Half the coasters you can't see until you get to the back of the park. You can hear them, but you can't see them. So, I guess I like both

i like cp layout. you don't have to walk forever after getting off one coaster to get on another.

front car on mf. hope you have the chance to do it.
Both. Look at CP and Kennywood. The rides are spaced out nice and rides everywhere you look, it's great. If you have to walk all over to get to a ride, it can kinda ruin the park feel.
