"Spoken like a true Putz" ;)

From the July 2001 issue of "Stuff" Magazine, in a small piece on MF & Cedar Point:

Says Jeff Putz, editor of CoasterBuzz.com, "It's got a lot of sustained speed...Cedar Point is kinda of an escape from real life." Spoken like a true Putz.

Their words, not mine. ;)

Congrats on getting published Jeff ! Even if they're poking fun at you.

My dad's used the word "Putz" for as long as I can remember... that's why I was kinda surprised when I read it for the first time.

He still does. He's always said he was going to "Putz" around when you asked him where he was going. That was how he said "Go mess around with the junk in the garage."

Congradulations all the same. :)

My favorite line to this day is one Jeff posted on R.R-C in response to a message titled "Al Gore is a PUTZ!"

Jeff simply said, "No, he's a Gore. I'm a Putz. Get it right."

Genius. ;)

After 28 years, gee, I've never heard that before. I bet the author sat around for hours thinking that up! What incredible ingenuity and literary prowess!

Anyway, it's funny, I never talked to Stuff, so I don't know where they got that quote.

Lynch: Funny that you remember that post on RRC. I rarely post there anymore, but I'm always sure to take special care in the craft of each and every bit of wisdom I deposit amongst the chaos.

Sorry. That was a typo on my part. The article says "...kind of..."

If anyone is interested, it is on page 74 of the current issue in a "Best Cities..." article.
Best city for Roller Coasters: Sandusky, OH

As for the "...incredible ingenuity and literary prowess!" of the Stuff writers. I have to say I agree, they are pretty lame. I normally don't read this rag, but I won a free subscription.

I've noticed your lack of participation, Jeff. It's not that I specifically don't post there anymore, it's just that I don't see much of a reason to since I'm so stuck on CoasterBuzz. ;)

If anyone wants an example of why moderated forums are better than unmoderated, check rec.roller-coaster out. I'm not bashing the people who post there, as you surely can get a lot of information from the place, but just check it out. You'll see what I mean.
