Splendid China closes

After struggling since it opened ten years ago, Splendid China is closing:

Hmm, something about these Country themed parks (Freedomland) doesn't seem to work.

I know it wasn't very big, but having been in the Orlando area for week-long vacations 4 times, I am extremely surprised that I have never heard of it. But looking at the official site, it actually looked somewhat interesting...or maybe I'm just crazy.

Someone submitted this to news, but after hitting the buddy list of enthusiasts no one had any idea what it was, so I didn't post it.

From all reliable reports, mismanagement and downright corruption was the rule of the day from the very beginning of SC.

Interestingly, (and somewhat relevant to attractions that won't last) last time at IoA, I did see the two people who bought t-shirts at The Holy Land Experience...;)

I drove by this park and always wanted to go there, it seems interesting, but it is too close to disney (far end of 192, near Blizzard Beach) and too far from the rest of the Irlo-bronson strip entertainment to successfully gain a profit.
