Spider at lagoon totally rocks!

I just rode the spider at Lagoon an it is way cool! As an ex-coaster designer for Arrow I can say they really nailed this one! I kept waiting for a lateral-g spike and suprise !nothing!

Smooth as silk, the design is very innovative, the upper vehicle deck is mounted to a rotek style bearing with a cammed pin that is locked while in the station, after the first drop a guide rail pulls the pin out allowing the chasis to spin freely (there is also a centrifical brake so it can't spin too fast) as you approach the safety brakes there is a lead in rail that rights the vehicle and then another guide rail pushes the pin back in and locks the chassis!...wow.. best coaster ride in the park now!

Nice to hear. I thought it looked pretty interesting, and unique. Those back to back cars are genious! So I guess the ride isn't as much about spinning as it is turning? I'd love to see some video.

Awesome. I am planning a trip to Lagoon later this summer, and while browsing on their site I thought that the new ride looked cool. Good to hear that it is a good ride and that it is operating.
