Speed Problem On RCT?

When I play RCT my rides go way to fast. Like, when I build a hyper-coaster it goes about 90 mph on about a 210ft drop, when really it should go about 75mph. Way to fast. Is this only on my game? Is there any way to fix it?
Rct isn't really accurate on the height and speed the way it should be in real life. That's just how rct is.There's no way to fix it.
my way to determine hight in rct is take the # and multiply by 5
yea anoyhter thing - when i build coasters to there maximum height on a steel twister which is 289 and make the drop all the way to the ground it does not say the drop is 289 feet.

i think when you change the angle of the drop it starts counting all over again

This is not only with steel twister coasters because ive tried it wiht the other types too

Well you could do what Mantis does and add a brake halfway down the hill ;). I found that you can make a ride that tall and fast, less intense if you just follow it up with big hills. If you want to slow it down even more add a brake on the tops of the hills following the first hill.

***Why can't all parks have a Millennium Force?***
You can't a make a brake on a down slope in RCT :( I know what you mean. I have a Hyper with a 210 ft. drop and it reaches 90 mph

what number?
The little tiny numbers that tell you how high your coaster is.

SFMM went from Amusment Park to Xtreme Park. They skipped Theme park :)
anthony, about the 289 foot hieght limit. Thats how high the coaster theoretically could go. The game will not allow you to get that high. I explain why with my post here:

Once you read my post there, continue reading my post here. 289 is outside the imaginary cube. The game is programmed to allow you to build the steel-twiseter above the 61 mark, but the imaginary cube rules all. It takes priority over the height of your coasters, and stops you from going higher. Hope that helps.

Hey, SFGAm managment, can I buy a couple cages of Sky Whirl?
IMO, multiply your RCT feet/meter height (not the tile height) by 1.4 and you'll get the real world height. Before that I tried 1.5, but still too much, then I tried 1.4 and it's really close.
