Speed: any news?

I'm attending a conference in Vegas March 23rd for a few days and was wondering - has anyone seen any activity at or around Speed: the ride? Last I heard it was to open "in the spring" but have not been able to find any posts here or elsewhere about the status. I also saw posts elsewhere about possible new trains ala lapbars, but no reports.
