Space Park Bremen is closing this weekend

Hi,

Space Park Bremen, a project to stimulate the local economy in Bremen, Germany, is closing down after only one year.
It has turned out to be a total commercial failure and waste of public funding.

It is home to one of the very few Augmented Reality coasters on this planet, on which riders see a syncronized 3D movie through a HMD while riding the physical coaster.

A shame that it's closing so soon.
I think it was mainly a problem with failing publicity.

Too bad... Sounds like it was a well themed indoor park.

Oh well, they still have Holiday Park....

Gee, sounds like Autoworld...........
Well, the project isn't a total loss just yet; they're looking for another company to buy the property. The main problem was that they weren't able to sell all of the retail space in the mall section of the attraction--as soon as they figure out a way to do that, I'd say that the Space Center will be back in business. Such a shame, though...
