Space Mountain, what is it a good for?

Okay I rode Space Mountain in Florida. I personally I didn't like that ride to much. (my own reasons). Yet you guys always say it is one of the best dark rides. I am willing to give anything another chance. What do you guys see in this ride? Perhaps I am missing something. Is there any best seat?

I run on the belief that a roller coaster cannot be bad.

Space Mountain was a good ride in my opinion. What made it good for me is that you can see other coasters flying past you. Plus the projection on the outer dome made the visual perspective wonderful. I can't really explain why I like it or why others like it. Different people like different things.

I agree, it's not tall, fast, steep, scary or anything. In fact, outdoors, it would probably be downright boring. But the minute you enter that queue, it is incredible. The theme, the music, the technology. It all adds up to a hell of an expirience.
Yes Moongose is right! You need to go to the one in Disneyland in CA. Its got steep instead of drops. The new space mountain in Disneyland Paris I hear has about 3 in versions. I think Dark coasters need to be used more. I mean but MF in the dark!!!!! Imagine the possiblities! [ and the price tag] It is something that needs to be done with a new coaster comeing soon!!!!
