Space Mountain, Matterhorn and Soarin' shut down at Disneyland Resort after state citations

Disneyland’s Space Mountain roller coaster and another ride are temporarily closed after the company received citations from state regulators last week that prompted a review of its employee safety protocols, a spokeswoman said Sunday. After receiving the citations Friday, company officials shut down the Matterhorn Bobsleds ride, Space Mountain and Soarin’ Over California on Saturday.

Before you can be older and wiser you first have to be young and stupid.

What do you want to bet that this was a "voluntary" closure in the same way that the broadcasters in your area, in "voluntary" cooperation with Federal, State and Local authorities have developed the EAS...

So there are fall protection issues on the outside of the ride, so the inside has to be shut down. On a Saturday morning. Why does this smell like a CalDOSH enforcement officer being a jerk?

A DOSH inspector being a jerk? You mean like camping outside my business for three days waiting for one of my people to slip up?Like demanding a manufacturer's operations and maintenance manual for a machine that was built in 1890, and the builder who died in the 1950's? Nah, couldn't be.
