Southern Living - 1967

Somebody who knows me all to well came upon an issue of Southern Living magazine from 1967 in an antique store. The cover story: "Angus Wynne, Jr., Raises Six Flags Over Georgia."

I read the article - thought it was pretty interesting. Admission to the park at the time was a whopping $3.95. It mentioned the Hanson car ride which is still there today and of course the Dahlonega Mine Train.

So I just thought it was pretty interesting that copies of this issue are still floating around out there. You might want to check it out.

What month was that issue? I think my family has a basement load of these old magazines.

Well try June, 1967 because Six Flags Over Georiga opend in June of that year.

I Believe Park Times.com had a copy of it online at one time. It might still be there.
