Well... it's been a long week and alot of activity at all the parks.
Magic Mountain is moving at a brisk pace on X. There's even talk of them trying to be done by July 11th! (That will remain to be seen.) California Adventure is moving along with Who Wants To Be A Millionaire - Play It! and Disney's Electrical Parade has come home. Knott's Berry Farm is also starting their own work in preparation to remove Windjammer and install their new coaster for 2002. As you can see, it's been busy for WestCoaster, come on over and see!

oh how dare you. how DARE YOU!, sir~Adam Carolla
I've been watching almost all of this construction and I still have no idea were they are keeping this track and supports that are going up. July 11th seems a little soon at the rate they are going. They havn't even finished the frist turn. But I must say this is going to be one great ride!

Fear the Rath of the Orient Express!!
At the rate they're going, and the very short track length, I'd say vertical construction should finish by the 20th. Then there's the matter of testing, theming and the queue, all of which should go pretty quickly. Something tells me we'll be riding this thing the second week of August. What a great birthday present.

I agree, I highly doubt that the ride will be finished by the 11th. they're not even finished with the Raven Turn yet! I agree with u DWeaver about X not being completely finished until around the first week of Auguest or so.
Yes, the ride will probably be finished the 11th, that is August the 11th, I don't see any possible way the vertical construction could be done that fast.

Now why couldn't they just do this during the month of January???? If they did that, the ride would be open. I don't see how the ride could be finished by the 11th of July.

"Pootie Tang!"
They could not have started construction before they did. The coaster simply was not ready to be shipped to the Mountain until now. They are *STILL* at this very moment delivering parts for the coaster. SFMM was simply waiting on Arrow.

I'm going to Chicago and Gurnee an about 3 weeks so I'm going to Great America. DWeaver is correct. Ginova or how ever you spell it was ready with there parts and thats how golith was open in febuary.
since when is knott's berry farm officialy getting a coaster for 2002?? Is this a rumor?? IF not, what are the details of this coaster?
People are now saying that X and the Vu will open on July 21st. NO WAY. Deja Vu's Que isnt even done. The trains, where are they. No Way Deja Vu is going to open on july 21st then thhey still gotta do testing. And I know X wont even be close to opening up on the 21st. There barely finishing the first turn. Vekoma needs some help.
yeah i dont think that they will be done with vertical construction until at least the 20th anyway, what are they going to do with that big piece of blue and green metal in the back corner of the park? Are thwy going to start testing that thing soon or use it as an expensive trophy!?
Hey OrientExpressKid Ther are getting new track sections daily from Arrow yesterday RidgeStonePark and I saw 2 trucks one with a section of track and the other with some supports, All I know isthey are on secdule with X and it look great!

Hey Doggea! Where did you here the 21st? I agree.....I can see a very slim chance that the Vu will open by them. I repeat....VERY SLIM. For that to start happing they would have to start testing in at least a week.
