Songs for 'Coasters

I was think the other day about what songs would fit certain coasters. For example, "Great Balls of Fire for Mean Streak, especally the line that goes "You shake my nerves and rattle my brain!"

Maybe "Rawhide" for Maverick? "Maneater" for Mantis? When I worked at CP, it was known as the Man-HATER!

Ozzy's "Over the Mountain" for Mellnium Force?

Are we starting to get the idea?

Actually, the year Meanstreak opened I made a tape to play on the way to the Point. The first song was "Meanstreak" by AC/DC off of their "Blow Up Your Video" album. Yes, I do get your point, need some time to think it over.

I would'a thought AC/DC's "Highway to hell" for TTD. It looks like it when you're on the down side of the tower.

I don't quite understand how every pov/coaster video I've ever seen was edited to include whiny emo-punk music. It's gotten to the point where I've quit watching them altogether.

How about that POV of Voyage with the DJ Sammy "We're in Heaven" mix on it? That always made me wanna get out to ride it.. I'm not even sure where i saw that POV anymore... (don't lie, everyone at least secretly "loves" that song and techno)

Off the top of my head I know some AC/DC and Led Zeppelin songs that would work well (even though I'm not particularly a fan of either band). Techno/house music usually cuts it. Most everything upbeat: anything that doesn't have me thinking "Would you like some cheese with that whine"?

*Edit* I wasn't referring to Metallica with the emo comment, I think Fuel would be a great song. How about I Can't Drive 55, or Whole Lotta Rosie?

So... That would mean anything from Virginia or Tennesee on south, right? That INCLUDES Carrowwinds, SFoG, and BGE, maybe.

Just to cIarify, I Can't Drive 55 is a Sammy Hagar solo effort, not a Van Halen original, although they performed it many, many times on tour with Sammy.

^^Don't forget Kentucky & Indiana. Trust me, they're here. I'm one of them.

^ Duh... I've been to three Van Halen concerts, one with Sammy. The fourth will be in a couple of weeks. I'm excited!!!

I remember a video I saw a years back that had nothing but Vekoma coasters in it, and the song they chose for it was Weird Al's parody of the Tiffany song "I think were alone now" but he had it retitled "I think I'm a clone now"
