Son Of Beast running better and better

Son Of Beast has gotten better with age. Last year this coaster was a little rough but, this year it is running like the coaster we all wanted it to be. The back seat is one of the best rides I have ever had on a wooden roller coaster. The Beast is still my favorite but, Sonny is a very close second. How do you like it this year?
I agree that SOB is unbelievable this season.  I loved it last season, and this year I just LOVE IT!  I haven't had a bad ride on it yet.

Ive had one bad ride, but thats cause i was sitting wrong and i got my knee basically rug burned on it. besides that no bad rides.

the Beasts` Den

They were doing a lot of maitenance on it last month. It is a lot better
I have been on Sonny several times this year, I dont know if I noticed any sizable differance. I still love this ride this year last year, what ever year ,although I dont think Its the best woodie its way better than most people give it credit for , I hope it will gain some popularity in the years to come! . At least get into the top 25????????????????????????
I remember saying a few months ago that PKI needed to continue working on Sonny to make it "the best wooden coaster on the planet".  I received a little chewing out for "insulting" the ride, but I really was trying to make constructive criticism.  Living 1000 miles away means I haven't been able to visit, but have kept an eye on the ride.  Sounds like the continued work on the top of the second hill has paid off, and handsomely at that.  Until next year, all I can do is say "Enjoy your ride on SoB, and have a great day at Paramount's Kings Island"!  Sounds like they've fixed that aspect (certainly not easy or cheap, so I really applaud PKI).  A little extra padding around the legs, and this ride could rival its namesake (after the landscaping fills in)...How many other "sequels" can say that?!?

Did they change the lapbars over the winter? I remember sitting down in April, realizing that I had no legroom (and I'm only 5'10''), and thinking that it didn't feel quite like it had before. Still one of my favorites, but my brother got his sunglasses smashed in his pocket while riding. Of course he didn't listen when I told him to put them on the side.
They didn't change the restraints (to the best of my knowledge), but they did raise the floor slightly.

The ride does seem to be getting faster in the section after the loop.  I have a feeling that it will get better as it gets cooler out, as well.  The best ride I've ever had was my night ride on closing day last year when it was 55 degrees out.  That one trip around the horn equaled any coaster I've ever ridden.

Now if it could just get cool enough outside for PKI to turn the Beast's trims off, I'd be an eternally happy camper!
