Son of Beast reopens

WOO HOO!! It looks like I will be able to make it to Ohio early this July. My first thoughts were late August, or maybe not at all. (boooo!) Looks like the SOB is up and running (even if it is only 1 train) and I CAN'T WAIT.

CP will be second on my list. SOB simply looks better to me than MF.

I hope I will be able to make it to SFO, but if not, I tried.

Hope to see some of you locals when I go!!

Gotta ride 'em all!

I rode SOB this past Sunday after waiting 8 hours not knowing if it would open. Finally at about 6:30 we got our only ride in the back seat. It has a good runout to the lift and at the top of the hill the chain picks up speed. The first drop reminds me of Hercules before the brakes were added. I liked the double helix it was rough but not as bad as I figured it would be. The mid course brakes slow the train quite a bit before the drop to the loop. I think the loop was the smoothest part of the entir ride. I didn't care for the rest of the ride after the loop. I thought the second helix was a bit slow (but we were on the 4th or 5th run of the day). The rest of the ride was just fluff to add to the length. I'm just glad I got to ride it before PKI kills the first drop with trim brakes like the Beast.

Just to assure you PKI has said that Son Of Beast will be open everyday at about 1:00 P.M. They are still fine-tuning the track in the morning. I rode it on Tuesday (5/30/00) and it was awesome. I got in line about 1:15 and only had to wait 1 1/2 hours, and that was because they were only running one train. So, I recommend getting at the line at about 12:30 and waiting for it to open. It is worth it.

Its not smooth! I dotn know how it was before, but i've been on it after they said they fixed it! I love woodies, I love rough rides! This thing is just way to rough though! The helixes arevery jerky. I dont get it! They have to stop the ride to wwalk the track every 1-2 too! I think it could be a great ride but there is a lot of work to be done!!

This ride suck for thrill. The loop sucks too. Get a new ride.

THIS WAS THE WORST RIDE I HAVE EVER RIDDEN. IT WAS TERRIBLE. IT WAS WORSE THEN IRON WOLF. THAT WAS A PETHETIC RIDE. M FORCE KICKED THAT RIDE WAS THE BOMB.
