Crews this week began dismantling the wooden roller coaster at Kings Island to make room for future park expansion. Son of Beast was heralded as the world’s tallest, fastest and only looping wooden roller coaster when it opened in 2000. The track climbs to a 218-foot peak, followed by a 214-foot drop; its trains would reach speeds of 78 mph.

Weird, it must be a bug. I try to edit the post and it still doesn't show up. I've also tried it here without the quotation marks and it doesn't show up here either.
At any rate, just go look up Opportunity Cost. :)
^LOL, I thought I was the economist!
At any rate, that's what I was thinking with the idea of "invested the same money elsewhere and gotten infinitely better ROI"... ;~P
Maybe use the eraser button, or do what I do and copy the text and paste it onto another program (I use Stickies or Text Edit on my Mac), then copy it from there and paste it back into CoasterBuzz. It happens to me sometimes too.

You can still be the economist. I've had exactly one intro to micro econ course as an undergraduate, and two "econ for dummies" classes post graduate. I just always enjoy the chance to actually realize I understood *something* from those days when talking rollie coasters. :)
Lift hill came down today.
Strange, this is the third video I've seen within two months of a tall ride collapsing.
Speaking of Son of Beast, I got my plaque today with the track piece on it. Apparently they decided not to sell pieces of the support structure also. No idea if they were still selling the bolts too. Mine is labeled #156 of 250, so I would presume they will definitely sell them all.
RCMAC: I think that's exactly what it was. Attach heavy equipment to some well placed points on the structure with some wire rope, and on cue, everybody goes backwards until it all falls down. Simple, but clearly effective!

Pretty much, except that they wanted to guarantee collapse at an expected point, so they changed the rules a bit. First, all the players had to remove their pieces at the same time, and second, those pieces were not supposed to go back on top...

And here I thought it would be like Jenga...
LOL, my comment when Tina posted the demolition to FB yesterday..."Jengaaaaa!"
Nah, all they needed to do to get SoB to coming crashing down was to remove a little bit of the duck tape.
I'm pretty sure if you turn you sound up very very loud, you can hear someone shout, "Substandard, low quality TIMBERRRrrr!"
