Something Haunted In Hershey this October?

For the past few years Hersheypark has been open during weekends in October for their Hersheypark in the Dark. Nothing really scary, just some re named rides and a few "friendly" looking decorations...

But...

I just recevied this "SweetMail" from Hershey. No details were given... just an email entiled

"This October..."

and the body read:

"...They're Coming. Visit http://www.hersheypa.com/events/halloween_in_hershey/haunted_harvest/teaser1.html"

Something different in Hershey this october... but not sure if it is directly related to the park or not.

Watch the tram car please....
Now don't get me wrong... I am not getting my hopes up too high for something different being done at the park.

Last Christmas Hershey had a large display of lights along a stretch of road behind Hotel Hershey (a few miles worth of road), and this was also part of Christmas in Hershey and sweetmails went out for this as well.

So... this October teaser may not have anything to do with events at the park.

HOWEVER... it is a bright sign that somewhere in Hershey, HERCO may be turning things up a notch come Halloween. After all... the "video" did not feature a happy little Hershey's Kiss in a pumpkin suit or anything cutsey like that.

As a matter of fact, mild as it was, the teaser "video" was even more eerie and creepy than anything that has ever appeared at Hersheypark in the Dark.

This the most that they have released so far:

Looks cool. Like I said in a previous post yesterday about this, I wish that Hershey would start up it's Halloween events a little earlier in the month.

Woohoo! Finally! I'm very excited to hear this news! It's about time Hershey added some actually scary attractions for the Halloween season! Looks like I'll be going to Hershey this October! ;)
